How I deal with infant loss as a labor/delivery nurse.
I probably pooped, but that's not what my husband noticed. The smell of rotting meat when the placenta came out is what he said he will never forget 😂.
This is the reason why I always birthed without my husband. I don't want him to see me pooping myself even if I'm having his kid.
Literally angels on earth ❤️
Why they act like boomers
NICU nurses hit different…they’re a different breed, they’re special 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷
Child birth is beautiful yet it takes so much from the mom 😢 Shout out to all the moms out there..... Y'all are doing a great job❤
When I gave birth the first time, I remember yelling out "did I just sh** myself??" I was horrified 😂😂😂
In the 1970’s they would give you an enema while you were still in the early stages of labor. So your contractions would intensify painfully while you were in the bathroom. It was awful.
I was almost 2 months premature in the 70s. They were prepared for the worst but I came out screaming so loud it scared the doctor. I am still screaming and hollering almost a 1/2 century later. 😊
Thats a weird experience as a birthing mommy 🙄
Thank you nurses for everything you do! I wish we didn’t have to feel so ashamed of the natural things our bodies do just for mens’ sake. Not only do men not understand what we go through, but to ridicule and humiliate us is just evil.
Is that an epidural thing? I’ve had two kids and this didn’t happen to me
Can happen without it all is just a circumstance of when did you last eat and how you push
I will never forget that wet cave smell with both of my children for as long as i live.
I was in labour for 28 hours and finally got a c-section but my body was so done I puked and pooped from the anesthetic. I was shaking violently and they said I might feel sick but it will go away fast and I said "nope, I'm gonna puke." It was so embarrassing but on the other hand it happens all the time and I just wanted my baby to be born healthy so that was the only thing that mattered. ❤
I gave the ok to have students in my room. It’s was my 4th baby so been there done that😂. All natural and i keep almost passing out from the pain, baby’s kinda turned slightly because they are bigger their shoulders tend to get stuck. I have bigger babies (over 9lbs) so it’s rough time. I’m trying to keep it together and their faces were kinda terrified lol. I’m asking them u ok😂. My mom was cracking up. I was like it’s gonna fine once it’s over we almost there. I was the family birthing coach too so have I’ve been there 7-8 babies plus my own 4 so it was just another day. I was also in the medical field so hands on is best way to learn. 😂
Can you prevent this by fasting or?
Ok so labour and birth were way too intense to notice any of that.
no husband is going to point that out😮 they know what's going on and have been told this may happen😮 stop knocking down men, husbands and fathers, you re contributing to the corruption of society
Yuck go look at your own dad I bet he’s proud🤣🤣
This takes me back for when I birthed my first baby. It was a looong labour. Started on Monday noon and gave birth Wednesday morning. I wasn't on epidural so it was exhausting af that I felt my heart almost give out. I have been pushing for 5 long hours and she's stuck in crowning position for so long. Long story short, there were 3 or 4 midwives, a doctor and a student doctor. Baby came out gray and not crying. Then one of the midwives took her and put on my chest. It didn't dawn on me that she wasn't moving or crying. I was just thankful she's out. Then the midwife started rubbing her back so hard and patting her butt. Not sure how long but baby started to cry and I could literally see her going pink. All is well. She's turning 3 soon. She's a bright and funny girl.
My dads girlfriend just had a baby yesterday she is so cute
Your half sister?❤ Congratulations!
@ thank you
These comments are just scaring me for when I decide I want kids. My bf is not emotionally mature enough to not judge me for shitting myself during childbirth
There's got to be some kind of correlation between declining quality of service and social media babies taking over all kinds of industries in the US.
I’m old and can’t understand what she’s saying???
I was so elated that I pooped in the early stages of labour. In the end, it didn't matter, my son was born by C-section
not us nurses having to act like bodyguards cuz visitors don't understand the patients isn't ready to see you!

I JUST WITNESS MY FIRST DELIVERY YESTERDAY🎉🎉🎉❤
I don't like him.
I give birth in 6 weeks and I’m really dreading this happening lool but at the same time I don’t know if I’ll actually care because of the amount of pain I’ll be in!
Thank you all for all you so to bring dignity to this process
This is why doctors are not involved unless there is a genuine reason in the UK
That was my fear with my VBAC, not that he was over 11 lbs & Im 5'2 & 130, or was pooping🤦🏽♀️ Thankfully, he was so big NOTHING was getting past him😂😂😂
Omg😂 can we educate EVERYONE ABOUT THIS cuz I just learned about this a couple years ago man and I’m a woman 🧍♀️ allegedly
Damn no wonder those nurses hate pregnant women, they dont just have to hear you scream but also clean up after you. Even on cessarian table nurses were cruel to me 😂😂😂 those bitches will never have their hands on me again
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😅the epidural is magic first injection I tell my life story but it is badly done so when the contractions intensify I die and the second injection change of personality I tell my life story again
me who has trouble sleeping even if her dad is there because I want to be sure that everything is perfect and who suddenly falls asleep at random times
why do mothers-in-law always melt... they melt babies... the worst thing is that even if the mother-in-law is normally adorable after giving birth to "HER GRANDSON GRANDDAUGHTER" she's a pain in the neck to be hurt for everything and nothing...
I did the same except that for me it was for my cat xd ... I wanted a big family with lots of children but my body almost couldn't handle the one I just had so for me my cat even if it's stupid it's become a real child
They gave me pitocin to "speed me up" (I heard a lot of "we're busy" talk) less than 1hr after getting my room in the hospital (5hrs after my water partially broke - no full spill just a little puddle since her head was a plug). It was horrible. The dude who checked me the 2nd out of 3 times - the doc no less - had catcher's mitts for hands and no warning. Scurried out of the room and then failed to reach me in time to be there to deliver her. 2 epidural placements, and neither worked. Ignored when i called post partum to use the bathroom, so I got yelled at for walking myself anyway. I just glared and said, "I told you the epidural didn't work... that or it wears off in 45 mins."
They should teach it that way in lamaze class. They would just say vague things like you need to bear down. I went to labor early before I could finish all my Lanaze sessions and then I realized what they meant. Why can't they just be clear about it?
My friend’s husband had security called on him because apparently their wishes that no one takes their child out of the room without one of them being with them was “unreasonable” and “inconvenient” for the 20+ random nurses that kept trying to remove the baby without even introducing themselves.
Juat learned this yesterday in Nursing school! 😊
That's why it's always the same woman who measures the cervix because I have vaginismus
the midwives who helped me deliver my daughter gave me hope in humanity thank you for helping me an experience that was both extremely traumatic and incredible thank you to her for making this moment magical because I know that without her I just wouldn't have succeeded
This always make me question if I actually pooped in childbirth, because I didnt think I did
My husband kept his mouth shut during my labour and I'm grateful for it, I had enough on my mind without any commentary about the fudge factory happening between my legs 😂 they didn't even bother to clean me up wtf!!
They make mistakes. My mother was given another baby to breastfeed while in hospital. She said it’s not my baby. Nurse insisted it was Mom said I almost died giving birth to him. He was 13 pounds you’re giving me a 6 pound baby. Did you lose my baby. Bracelets were somehow switched. Huge faux pas
